Johnny Lemon whose real name is Leonard Mitchell was born on April 4^th, 1962 in Kingston Jamaica, the youngest of nine kids. His family moved briefly to May Pen Clarendon, then to Spanish Town St Catherine where he grew u. He began his career at the tender age of twelve in Spanish Town, where he hooked u with the likes of papa San and Lt. Stitchie both unknown at the time on a sound system called supersonic sound. Lemon later spent some time in Ewarton St Catherine helping with gamily business there4. He met beanie man little Kirk and they ball perform on a nightly basis at his father’s club. The sound system at the time was black lion hi-fi named after the soccer team he represented and played for.

Johnny Lemon is not only a talented artist a skilled athlete, excelling in soccer which he played for Vere technical high school, Black Lion F.C. and the st. Catherine parish team. He had to choose between his two passions music and soccer. He chooses to play soccer in which he was very successful playing alongside his brother whimpy Mitchell and new Michel “buzz” Hamilton. He then migrated to the United States of America in 1995 and became a family man. Lemon is married to wife Beverly and is the proud father of eight kids, five boys and three girls. He came to accept Jesus Christ as lord and savior, a life-style his entire family presently share.

Growing up, his influence in music was always the late bob marley, Curtis Mayfield and brigadier jerry whom he considers as the best dj ever. With the love for music and righteousness lemon intends to spread positive lyrics to the world, especially the younger generation for its our duty to educate them towards honoring righteousness. Johnny Lemon who is presently with richport records an independent label will be releasing his debut album entitled rise up pretty soon.
